Mission Statement Project U.N.I.O.N is a non- profit organization 501(c)(3) developed to fulfill the rehabilitation needs of the Harris County community and to assist in ways which will enable individuals to become more functional, safe and active in their community. This is achieved with appropriate pain management education, rehabilitation and medical equipment. The proper level of rehabilitation and medical care needed to allow the patient to become more functional at home is often not feasible due to lack of funding. Even families that are covered under Medicare and Medicaid must pay out pocket for the most standard and essential durable medical equipment which has been found to be necessary for safety and the improvement of their quality of life. |

| Harris
County is growing and a number of families are entering the area to
look for medical care. A small number of services exist to help
transition these new families into the Harris County healthcare area.
Project UNION is an important resource to these programs because we can
respond quickly with the one of the most important resources these
families need. Cost of medical care! This is why an organization
that helps the low-income residents gain access to appropriate medical
equipment and care is so essential. Project UNION will
receive support from the fundraisers, charitable organizations and
corporate sponsorship. Statement of Need Our client base is the elderly, disabled, and/or low-income physical medicine and rehabilitation patients of Harris County. The eligibility criteria will be based on Project UNION's criteria as defined by Harris county income status. Please see our application on our services page for more information. |
