Transportation   METROLift METROLift is a service offered by the Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County. METROLift provides transportation for persons with a disability who cannot board, ride, or disembark from a regular METRO fixed-route bus, even if that bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift or ramp.   RIDES RIDES provides non-emergency transportation services for the elderly, disabled, and low-income residents of Harris County who live outside the METROLift service area or are unable to access METRO services.       Equipment / Services   Used Home Medical Equipment Free listing service where people can buy, sell or donate used home medical equipment   Project M.E.N.D. (medical equipment network for those with disabilities) San Antonio based program that runs locally to help people with medical equipment   Reachcils.com Denton based program that provides various services to people with disabilities and also has loaner equipment program that includes vision-related items, walkers, scooters, power and manual wheelchairs. The Coalition for A Barrier Free Living HCIL, BCCIL and FBCIL promote the full inclusion, equal opportunity and participation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of community life. We believe that people with disabilities have the right to make choices affecting their lives, a right to take risks, a right to fail, and a right to succeed. Bulls Eye Storage Bulls Eye Storage is a facility that has helped our non-profit with storage of equipment.  They are very reliable and have very competitive rates.     Activities / Exercise   Houston Parks and Recreation Houston Parks and Recreation Department offers many opportunities for exercise and improving athletic skills for citizens of all ages and abilities. Wheelchair athletes are invited to take part in a variety of activities in Houston parks and community centers. It has activities such as adult wheelchair bowling, adult wheelchair tennis, adult sitting volleyball, network meeting, adult wheelchair basketball, adult wheelchair football, spinal cord injury activity.
